ACCREDITATION

STRIDES is a first step introduction into the employment, it enables people to gain self confidence and motivation by using ‘real working’ environments based within workshops. Coursework is based on the Open College Network ‘OCN’ accreditation and is worked in partnership with NPT College. The project aims to develop people in employability skills using the workshops and accreditation as a means of motivation and self development. Qualification levels are not of a high standard, they are there to develop confidence. All beneficiaries undertake a Basic Skills assessment and STRIDES work in partnership with the WEA to deliver Basic and essential skill support to any individual with an identified need. Coursework can be tailored around individual needs and a wide range of delivery methods used to incorporate these needs. Using OCR accreditation STRIDES are able to develop those who express an interest up to GCSE equivalent in Maths and English. |
