ENGAGEMENT

The aim is to reach the long-term unemployed and economically inactive within NPT, this is achieved via a network of referring agencies and by engaging people with our progression team directly in their communities. STRIDES engagement outreach actively engages with many people over the age of 16, there is no set time for engagement it is a roll on - roll off policy. The referral and registration system is designed to be user friendly with a non pressurised informal process. Beneficiaries are allowed to slowly develop in their workshops before assessments and individual learning plans are conducted. There are over 20 agencies that refer into STRIDES and a very informal approach to self referral of people who discover STRIDES through advertising or word of mouth. STRIDES is a currently piloting a prescription for learning system with a local GP within Sandfields |
